Who we are

We’re Sam and Laura, and we farm at Trendeal Vean alongside our three children, in the rolling green valleys just outside Truro.

We run a mixed beef system, rearing dairy x beef cattle and a small suckler herd, all finished on forage. Our focus is on good stockmanship, healthy soils, and producing quality beef with clear provenance.

We moved to Cornwall from Wiltshire looking for a place where we could farm cattle in a way that suited both the land and our family life and ethos.

Trendeal Vean is a tenanted farm, and that’s shaped how we think about long term grazing, soil health and investing in the ground we care for.

We try keep things simple, manage cattle quietly, and farming in a way that works with our land rather than against it. We believe good beef comes from healthy cattle, consistent routines and a system built around grass and forage.

Everything we sell in our beef boxes comes from animals we’ve reared here ourselves from start to finish, and that traceability and provenance is important to us, and its also how we wish to feed our family!
